A Cycling Expos? |

This is a recurring theme. We covered this story nearly two years ago. Only this time, the cops have detained suspects. Of course, we Wheelmen keep our drawstrings tied tight!

Could this be a clue? | #1 | ||
![]() Suspect is thin, about six feet, between 30 and 40, blue short sleeve shirt, black shorts, dark helmet, blue bike. Could it be? |

Wheelmen to the Rescue | #2
|
Maybe some wheelmen need to rush to the aid of the police. They could assist the locals in determining the kind of bike ridden, beyond its blueness.

Details | #3 | ||
|
Your faithful Observer would not provide so vague a description as to include both Lance and Hincapie. This incident brings to mind a fellow Wheelman with a fancy for blue bikes, but who has been observed riding his black bike of late. Perchance Allecto has a point; the Wheelmen could provide invaluable aid in identifying a suspect. One suggests that the women who witnessed the act, might instead of describing his clothing, describe in detail his Gruppo.

My Observations | #4 | ||
|
More details come out. It's now an athletic looking white man. The shirt is now sky blue, so I changed the photo above from Postal to Discovery.
Here's the interesting part: four cyclists have been detained and then released. It's worth knowing the description, if only to avoid the hassle with the man by pointing out how it doesn't fit you. For example, few of our club members are between 30 and 40. Just the same, I think I'll hang up the blue bike, and ride the green one for a while. |

Memorable Members Re: My Observations | #5

Any WheelMEN ridding buff would have a panting peloton following. Thus, we must rule out any of our club members.

He struck again! | #6 | ||
|
I was reading the Star Ledger and Courier on Dec 2nd, and this story has appearred again, he exposed himself again on Lower Landsdowne road! He's in his late 30's so that eliminates just about everyone in the club.

What it takes to solve this mystery. | #7
|
This mystery is easily solved, if only the authorities would provide a better description of what matters most. Instead we are provided with vaguarities.
Exhibit one is a cyclist with something to show off. This is rather a common occurrence, to which most have already been trained on how to respond. But one needs to know more; not to be present to observe, but to envision after the fact requires a retelling of details not yet provided. Perhaps the victims did not get a good look? Was it thin and flexy? Perchance rigid? Was it all one color, or comprised of two? Was the part to be grabbed in one's hands upright or bent down? How big was it? With these queries answered, we can identify the bike, leading to the rider. But without answers, we are merely looking for a blue bike. Mapman, what color is your bike? |

Well yes everyone knows my bike is blue, but does that make me a suspect? While I'm not fat, I don't think that calling me skinny would be accurate. Plus saying I look like I'm in my late 30's or early 40's is a stretch too. Plus if I exposed myself I don't think anyone would be too impressed

In search of the Flash! | #9
|
Today was one of those unseasonably warm days better spent on a bike than at a desk. It was also the kind of day the Bike Flasher has struck -- unseasonably warm days where people are out taking in the nice weather.
I took a half day away from work, to work in a bike ride. Allecto wanted me to ride towards Seargentsville, but I decided to search for the Bike Flasher. I took my blue bike, and headed to Annandale, then Clinton, then High Bridge -- all the spots where the Bike Flasher had been spotted. However, I didn't find him. I headed home taking a southern exposure, and once I turned onto Cherryville Stanton, was home in a flash! It sure was nice out! |

How can the average guy do this?
I'd be afraid of getting my junk caught on the chain, or on a fast down hill in the rear derailleur.. Please don't tell my mother I'm a pilot, she thinks I play piano in a whorehouse. |

Wow I didn't know the flasher was seen in Clinton and uh, High Bridge!! This is my local riding area. I did do my second favorite loop, out over Jugtown mountain, past Ethel Hoppock, eventually to the Mobil Mart for a coffee! then through Hampton and back up to the Solitude Hills! But I did not see the flasher.

Spring is here, with forecasts tomorrow in the mid 60s. I'm sure that you, like me, are wondering just when the Hunterdon Bike Flasher will next turn up. He hasn't gotten much.. ahem.. exposure lately.

Hunterdon Bike Flasher captured! | #15
|
Finally! After years, the Hunterdon Bike Flasher has been caught single-handedly. He flashed a woman on the Columbia Trial (you know, the one Shane Wring
frequents...) and she was able to give a detailed description. One wonders if it was a full descripton as well. Here's the story.

DEAD on Columbia Trail | #16
|
I will not respond top the possible implications of BITS last jab. I did hear a cyclist was found dead beside his bicycle around last Tuesday, June 23 on the
trail segment north of Califon. Does anyone know the truth of that report? I did sea s "police crime scene" yellow tape along that part of the
trail.

Go ahead, try to change the topic... | #17
|
Here we have a thread several years old, with breaking news, and Shane Wring attempts to change the topic.
I prefer to keep the topic on point. The suspect has been arrested. The victims will likely be asked to finger the suspect. How many Wheelmen are volunteering to be in the line-up? |
