Although it's not yet June, there are still opportunities to get in some longer rides and train for Norm's event. The NJ Randonneurs are holding their
Heightstown 400K this Saturday, May 23rd leaving out of the Heightstown Days Inn.
The course is extremely flat and fast and drafting is allowed so if you can get a couple of WJW riders to work together, you might possibly be able to 12:08 hour "minimum allowable" cut-off time. I'll be looking to ride it on one of my fixies so I don't think I'll be going for speed. For slower folks and those who enjoy stopping for "sit-down" meals, we're allowed to stretch the ride over 27 hours.
